The Detroit Pistons host the Washington Wizards on Monday as they try to make headway in the 2019 NBA playoff bracket. The Pistons (25-29) are tied with Miami for eighth place in the East, while the Wizards (24-32) are two games behind both. The Pistons have won three in a row and four of five, while Washington has won its last two games. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET at Little Caesars Arena. The teams have split the previous two meetings this season, with the home team winning each time. On Monday, the Pistons are four-point favorites in the latest Wizards vs. Pistons odds, while the over-under for total points scored is 220. Before making any Wizards vs. Pistons picks of your own, you need to check out what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

This model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, is crushing its NBA picks this season. It entered Week 17 of the 2018-19 NBA season with a sterling 200-146 record on all top-rated picks, returning more than $4,000 to anybody following them. And it has been particularly red-hot on its A-rated NBA picks against the spread, entering Week 17 on a blistering 35-19 run. Anybody following it is way up.

Now the model has dialed in on Wizards vs. Pistons. We can tell you it’s leaning over, but it’s also generated an against-the-spread pick that cashes in well over 50 percent of simulations. That one is available exclusively at SportsLine.

The model knows the Pistons are 16-13 at home, including 4-2 in their last six, and are hoping to take advantage of the Wizards, who have gone 7-21 on the road. Detroit also will be looking to exploit an edge in rebounding. The Pistons are 12th in the NBA at 45.5 rebounds per game, while the Wizards are 28th at 40.9.

Big man Blake Griffin leads Detroit in scoring at 26.1 points per game. He has reached or surpassed his average in six of the last 10 games he’s played, including 37 at New Orleans and 38 against Sacramento. Complementing Griffin is Andre Drummond, who leads the Pistons in rebounding at 14.9 boards per game. He grabbed 20 in Friday’s win over the Knicks.

But just because Detroit has a winning streak doesn’t guarantee it’ll cover the Pistons vs. Wizards spread on Monday.

The model also knows the Wizards have won 11 of the past 16 meetings against the Pistons, including four of the past six. Washington has the edge in scoring at 113.8 points per game, sixth best in the league, compared to Detroit’s 106.2, which is 23rd. The Wizards are led in scoring by Bradley Beal (25 points per game), who has equaled or surpassed his season average in four consecutive games and seven of the past 10.

Washington is ninth in the league in field goal percentage at 47.0, and is 6-3 against the spread versus teams like the Pistons that win between 45 and 55 percent of their games.

Who wins Wizards vs. Pistons? And which side of the spread can you bank on in well over 50 percent of simulations? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of the Wizards vs. Pistons spread to jump on, all from the advanced model that is up more than $4,000 on its NBA picks this season, and find out.
